Age-Friendly Initiative

Licking County Aging Partners is driving positive changes to enhance the aging experience in our community. In May 2023, supported by the Licking County Commissioners, our county joined 25 other Ohio communities in officially becoming Age-Friendly, pledging to become a more Livable Community through the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities. This partnership represents a commitment by local leaders, residents, and advocates to collaborate to ensure Licking County is welcoming and accessible to people of all ages.

What’s Next?

Thanks to thoughtful input from the community, we finalized our Age-Friendly Action Plan, and it has now been submitted to AARP and approved.

Now we’re focused on execution: community leaders, residents, and local partners are collaborating to move the plan from paper to progress and to create clear, practical ways for businesses, nonprofits, and neighbors to plug in.
