Age-Friendly Initative

Licking County Aging Partners is driving positive changes to enhance the aging experience in our community. In May 2023, supported by the Licking County Commissioners, our county joined 25 other Ohio communities in becoming officially Age-Friendly, pledging to become a more Livable Community through the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities. This partnership represents a commitment by local leaders, residents, and advocates to collaborate, ensuring Licking County is welcoming and accessible for people of all ages.

What’s Next?

We received valuable feedback from the community, which directly informs our Action Plan. Community leaders, residents, and local stakeholders are actively collaborating on this important initiative. Our next step is to submit the completed plan to AARP by October for review and approval. Once approved, we'll widely share the final Action Plan with our entire community—businesses, nonprofits, neighbors, and friends—to highlight opportunities for everyone to contribute to making Licking County age-friendly.

Our passion is to see older adults grow, age, and live their lives to the fullest. If you are interested in helping with this Age-Friendly Initiative, please email Kim Hosler or call (740) 345-0821.
