When you’re unsure where to begin

Guidance & Community Resources

Our Social Services team can listen to what is happening, explain available resources, and help connect your family with appropriate community support.

This may help when your loved one needs:

  • Guidance with Social Security or public assistance
  • Help finding utility-bill or emergency resources
  • An emergency response system or personal help button
  • Home-safety support, including smoke detectors and escape planning

When daytime supervision and connection would help

Adult Day Service

Adult Day Service provides care, companionship, and meaningful daily activities in a safe, nurturing environment while giving family caregivers dependable daytime support.

Participants can receive:

  • Support from personal care aides, activity assistants, and nurses
  • Daily social, recreational, and health-related activities
  • Breakfast, snacks, and a nutritious hot lunch
  • Additional help with showers and hygienic care when arranged

When everyday tasks are becoming difficult

Personal Care at Home

A little assistance with personal routines and household tasks can help an older adult remain safer and more comfortable in their own home.

Our staff may help with:

  • Bathing and personal hygiene
  • Haircare and skincare routines
  • Light cleaning and laundry
  • Basic cooking and meal preparation

When preparing meals is no longer easy or safe

Meals on Wheels

LCAP delivers nutritious midday meals and a friendly daily well check to eligible older adults in Licking County, helping families know someone is checking in during the week.

Home-delivered meal service includes:

  • Delivery five days a week for those determined eligible by a case manager
  • Three meal options available each day
  • A brief well check during each delivery
  • Optional frozen weekend meals when needed and available
