How We Can Work Together

Living in our community for any amount of time allows you to witness the tradition of generosity that exists. Families and philanthropists have invested in buildings, services, and initiatives that serve the people of our neighborhoods. Although unmet needs still exist and always will, Licking County is a kind, generous community where many citizens are able to live well.

LCAP exists because of that same spirit. It was founded by volunteers who recognized that older adults living alone needed support, connection, and resources. That commitment continues today. In 1985, local voters established the Senior Levy to help fund services for this growing population. Renewed in 2024 (at 2019 home values), the levy now generates $6.3 million annually and supports 15 organizations working to keep older adults healthy, independent, and connected.

Today, with more than 40,000 individuals in Licking County over the age of 60 – nearly a quarter of the population – the need for services continues to grow beyond what levy funding can support. LCAP is committed to championing your health and independence, but we can’t do it alone.

If you receive services from our organization, visit Heritage Hall for lunch, participate in an exercise class, or participate in a club or group that uses our building, we invite you to support LCAP’s work in the community. Every gift makes a difference. It can help deliver a meal, offer a ride, or help ensure someone receives the care they need. If giving financially isn’t an option, your time is just as valuable. Volunteers play a critical role in helping us reach more people and expand our impact. Please help us continue our mission for years to come and champion your health and the health of aging services in Licking County.
