      Come and be Irish in May! The May Fling at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29th will feature Celi McDaniels and the Millennium Academy of Irish Dancers performing Irish music and dance. Tickets are $1 and are on sale through May 22nd at Heritage Hall. Event will feature the Irish show, lunch, 50-50 raffle and door prizes.

      Echo-Norvell Hearing Aid Center will give free hearing consultations and screenings from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 2nd. Reservations requested by Tuesday, May 26th.

    • June 3, 2015 – Senior Fishing Tournament

      It is time to cast off for the annual Senior Fishing Tournament from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 3 at T.J. Evans Park in north Newark. If you want one of the picnic lunches of grilled hamburgers or hot dogs, the meal ticket cost is $3. Tickets can be purchased at Heritage Hall through Wednesday, May 27th. Enjoy a day of summertime fishing with various trophies and prizes or just visit with friends in the shelter house.

      The new grief support group GriefWorks will meet from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 4th at Heritage Hall Senior Center. This is a partnership of Hospice of Central Ohio and LCAP. Please join the group at any time and give us a call at 740-345-0821 if you would like to attend.

    • June 11, 2015 – What's Cooking Series

      This cooking series will feature four classes on June 11th and 25th and July 9th and 23rd featuring LCAP Nutrition Director Janis Clark. The sessions will feature such topics as various cooking styles, diabetic meals, cooking for one or two people and great summer salads. Tickets for each event is $5 or you can purchase a set of four for $18. Tickets available at Heritage Hall beginning May 14.
